What's New!

Fall classes start August 23rd.

RULES OF THE GYM:

  1. Only registered students/team members will be allowed on the gym floor.  Any other person who wishes to participate must first receive permission from the head coach, and their legal guardian or parent must sign a waiver.
  2. We strenuously discourage parents from commenting or communicating with gymnasts and coaches during workouts and competitions.
  3. Parents must advise the coaches in advance, in writing if their child will be arriving late or leaving early from a workout.
  4. All students must wait inside the building to be picked up.  NO exceptions!
  5. No physical activity can begin unless the coach is present.

TEAM TUITION:

  1. Monthly tuition is due during the first week of workout each month.
  2. Team tuition and team fees need to be paid separately.  (Make checks to: Team KIPS)
  3. A late fee of $10.00 will be assessed for payments received after the first class of each month, unless prior arrangements have been made.
  4. Please note your gymnast’s name on the bottom left corner of your check along with the correct number of training hours per week.
  5. All returned checks must be paid in cash along with a $30.00 service charge.

TEAM MAKE-UP POLICY

  1. There is no such thing as a make-up for a missed team workout.
  2. Katy KIPS recognizes major holidays; no make up classes or prorating for holidays.
  3. Neither make-ups nor tuition credit will be given when workouts are cancelled due to competitions, training camps, or coaches’ conventions.

TEAM WORKOUT ATTENDANCE

  1. Regular attendance is required.  Gymnastics requires year round practice for consistency.
  2. Your gymnast must attend workouts regularly in order to learn new skills and perfect them.  If your gymnast wants to succeed, then she needs to attend workouts consistently.

DROP POLICY:

  1. You must provide a written thirty day notice if you are leaving the Team KIPS program.
  2. Any unused funds remaining in your personal account which were earned through fundraisers will be donated to the general team use account.
  3. Your account must be current and paid in full prior to the drop date.  If your account is overdrawn, then the balance will be turned over to collections.
  4. Gymnasts must complete the competition season, which includes any state meets that are out of town, unless an agreement has been made with the coach.  State Meet is the crowning achievement for a compulsory gymnast – this is why they have been in the gym day in and day out!  Two invitational meets are required (local or out of town).

HOLIDAYS:

  1. Scheduled workouts may occur during Spring Break, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July and Easter will be observed.  Religious holidays will be recognized.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  1. Team KIPS athletes are required to attend all scheduled competitions (unless otherwise discussed with the Head Coach).
  2. If a gymnast has to scratch a meet for any reason and the entry fee has already been mailed, you will still be liable for the meet fee.
  3. It is understood that Team KIPS reserves the right to dismiss an athlete from any practice, competition or be removed from the team if their behavior is deemed inappropriate.
  4. Please be aware that inappropriate displays of behavior from parents can also result in removal of athletes from team, this applies in all situations.  Such situations include, but are not limited to: practices, competitions, and team activities.  During work out and competitions ALL parents must remain in the stands and refrain from contacting the gymnast.  If ignored, the parent(s) and/or gymnast may be asked to leave the facility.  In the case of an injury, please try to remain calm.  The coach will notify you or come to get you if you are in the facility.  PLEASE DO NOT RUN OUT ONTO THE FLOOR!!
  5. Katy KIPS employees, athletes, parents and all other affiliates pride themselves on good sportsmanship and supportive attitudes.  Also, there will be no comparison between Team KIPS/Katy KIPS Program and any other similar programs.  All Katy KIPS affiliates understand and support their athletes at the level which they are presently and continue to support their progressions.
  6. Team KIPS expects and demands communication between coaches, athletes and parents.  Most if not all problems and situations can be resolved with communication, please no assumptions.
  7. Team KIPS coaches have a reason for everything they do, if at any time you have questions about your athletes, or their progress do not hesitate to discuss it with us.
